Geographic location: Burkina Faso is a landlocked nation in West Africa, bordered by six other countries, namely: Niger, Mali, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast.

Population: With a population of over 20 million people who speak French as the official language, Burkina Faso is full of potential for those investors who are looking to spearhead development in their respective industries.

Economy: While Burkina Faso’s is a low-income country, it has great resources of gold and cotton crops, which is the major source of wealth for the country.  Despite the country’s relatively poor economy, it experienced a significant rebound of 6.9% increase in GDP in 2021. This surge can be explained by the recovery of the services sector (+11.7%) from the COVID-19 pandemic and an increase in gold exports.
