Employer Contribution

Paid Time-Off

Workers in Libya are entitled to a minimum of 30 days of paid annual leave which increases to 45 for employees over the age of 50 (or if they have accumulated 20 years of service).

Sick Leave

In Libya, workers cannot exceed 45 continuous days of sick leave. 60 days is the maximum amount of sick leave an employee can take within a single year in Libya.

Maternity Leave

In accordance with the Libyan Labor Law, women are entitled to 14 weeks of paid maternity leave including a compulsory leave following delivery of not less than 6 weeks.

Paternity Leave

There is no statutory paternity leave in Libya.

In Libya, an employee is entitled to 1 month’s notice – regardless of how long they served within the same company.

There is no statutory severance pay in Libya.
