VillageReach is a global health organization with offices in the Democratic Repubic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique and the United States, with a mission to transform health care delivery to reach everyone, with a focus on the under-reached communities in Africa. Since 2016, Africa HR Solutions has been supporting VillageReach in expanding its operations and empowering communities across the African continent.
VillageReach’s noble cause and commitment to improve health care in low-resource communities required their expansion beyond the countries where they have offices. However, navigating the complex landscape of human resources, compliance, and payroll across multiple jurisdictions posed significant challenges. VillageReach required a trusted partner capable of streamlining their expansion process, ensuring compliance, and managing their diverse workforce seamlessly.
Africa HR Solutions stepped in as the trusted Employer of Record (EOR) partner for VillageReach, providing a comprehensive solution that enabled a compliant expansion into the targeted African countries. Leveraging our extensive experience and expertise in managing international workforces, we facilitated the seamless onboarding of 25 dedicated professionals across seven countries in Africa. These countries include the Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Navigating the intricacies of local regulations and employment laws in each country was a crucial aspect of VillageReach’s expansion journey. Africa HR Solutions diligently ensured compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements in each jurisdiction. By assuming the role of the EOR, we took responsibility for payroll processing, calculating benefits, and managing employee compensation accurately and on time.
The partnership between VillageReach and Africa HR Solutions stands out as a testament to shared values and a common vision. VillageReach’s unwavering dedication to increase equitable access to health care for under-reached communities resonates with Africa HR Solutions’ commitment to enable growth and positive social impact across Africa. The longevity of this partnership has fostered a deep understanding of VillageReach’s unique requirements. This has, in turn, allowed us to develop tailored solutions to meet their evolving needs.
Beyond compliance and payroll management, our collaboration with VillageReach aligns with their mission and values. As an extension of their HR department, Africa HR Solutions has actively contributed to enhancing employee well-being and fostering a positive work environment. We have also helped VillageReach navigate payroll complexities.
Over seven years, VillageReach and Africa HR Solutions have yielded remarkable results. Through our EOR services, VillageReach has successfully expanded operations across seven African countries. This has enabled them to have a tangible impact on health care delivery in low-resource communities. By onboarding 25 dedicated professionals, VillageReach has leveraged local expertise, cultural understanding, and language proficiency to drive sustainable change. This has helped improve health care outcomes for the most under-reached.
