Nigeria and Mozambique: Elon Musk says Starlink is a go!

On May 24th, Elon Musk tweeted about Starlink’s service launch in Africa. SpaceX’s CEO announced that his satellite internet service provider was approved in Nigeria and Mozambique; a project first brought up in 2021. Starlink was licenced as an ISP (Internet Service Provider) under the name Starlink Internet Services Nigeria Ltd.

This service launch in Nigeria and Mozambique paves the way for new competition in the telecom industry in both regions. The advent of Starlink will also contribute to solving the problem of accessibility, where only 16% of Mozambique citizens have access to an internet connection in 2022.

Regarding South Africa, pre-orders are already open, and a service launch is likely to be announced in 2022.

Professional Employer Organisation market expected to rise by 2030

According to a recent study conducted by Straits Research, the Professional Employer Organisation market share was estimated at USD 41,997.4 million in 2017. Predictions point to a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) increase of 11.10% from 2017 to 2030.

This increase in demand can be explained by the impact of COVID-19 on the employment sector. PEOs played an important part in helping their clients ensure their operations were legally and financially compliant during and after the pandemic.

This employment model is becoming a common HR trend for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking rapid development in new markets around the globe.
